      Ways to use this list

      • Friday night planning: spin three times, keep the favourite for Saturday and the runner-up for Sunday, and hold the third back in case plans fall through.
      • Make it "near me": first delete anything more than half an hour away, then search the idea with your town's name to find opening times.
      • Busy family weekend: press With kids, let each child spin once and do the two ideas that came up first.
      • Weekend with no spending: the Free button keeps parks, libraries, hikes, stargazing and other ideas that cost nothing.
      • Housemates or couples: each person adds two ideas of their own, then spin, so nobody has to be the one who always decides.

Press Spin the wheel, tap the game or press the Space bar. Change the list in the box as you like: add your own, delete what doesn't suit you, or write *2 after an entry to give it double the chance. The game buttons switch the same list to a duck race, hat, claw machine and more.

      Questions people ask

How do I find things to do this weekend near me?

Spin for the kind of outing first, such as a market, a museum or a hike, then search for that idea with your town or area name. Local event listings, library noticeboards and your council or city parks pages usually post free events a few days ahead.

What can we do this weekend with kids for free?

Plenty: parks and new playgrounds, library story times, nature walks, kite flying, rock pooling at the coast, and many museums cost nothing. Press Free above the picker to spin only those ideas.

What are good weekend ideas for adults?

Try something you would not do on a weekday: a pottery or cooking class, a street food market, an art gallery, a long walk with a podcast, or a morning of volunteering. The For adults button keeps the grown-up ideas together.

What if it rains all weekend?

Swap to indoor plans: the rainy day activities wheel has ideas for toddlers, older kids and adults, plus covered places to go. Bowling, swimming and the cinema on this list work in any weather too.
