Ways to use this list
- Rainy-day hunt for 4 to 7 year olds: press Indoor, set Winners to 6, and give each child a bag and ten minutes to find everything.
- Park or garden hunt: the Outdoor list keeps to looking and collecting things that are safe, with reminders like look, don't pick.
- Birthday treasure hunt: write each Riddle clue on a card, hide the next card at the answer, and leave the prize behind the last one.
- Team race: split the guests with the team generator, give every team the same ten items, and the first team back with all of them wins.
- Photo hunt for older kids and teens: instead of collecting, they photograph each item, which works on a walk, a school trip or a day at the beach.
Press Spin the wheel, tap the game or press the Space bar. Change the list in the box as you
like: add your own, delete what doesn't suit you, or write *2 after an entry to give it double the
chance. The game buttons switch the same list to a duck race, hat, claw machine and more.

Questions people ask
How do I make a scavenger hunt list here?
Press Indoor or Outdoor, set Winners in Settings to the number of items you want (8 to 12 suits most children) and pick once. Copy the results onto paper for a free printable checklist, or read them out.
How do riddle clues work in a treasure hunt?
Each clue points to a hiding place. Hide clue two at the answer to clue one, clue three at the answer to clue two, and so on, with the prize at the end. Six to eight clues fill about twenty minutes.
What is the difference between a scavenger hunt and a treasure hunt?
In a scavenger hunt, players collect a list of items in any order. In a treasure hunt, they follow clues one after another to a single prize. This page has lists for both kinds.
How do I keep an outdoor hunt safe?
Agree the boundaries before anyone sets off, pair younger children with an older child or a grown-up, and make it a rule that nothing found gets eaten or picked from a plant.
