      Ways to use this list

      • Monday stand-ups: spin one Quick icebreaker and give it ten minutes before the agenda, so the first voice in the room isn't always the manager's.
      • Away days for 6 to 12 adults: put three Problem solving activities on the wheel, spin for the order, and after each one ask the team what helped and what got in the way.
      • Remote teams across time zones: the Online teams button lists activities that need only a camera, a shared screen and something from your desk.
      • Youth groups and classes: the For kids set builds listening and turn-taking, and most activities need nothing more than string, paper or a blanket.
      • Mix people up first with the random team generator, so the same friends don't always end up side by side.

Press Spin the wheel, tap the game or press the Space bar. Change the list in the box as you like: add your own, delete what doesn't suit you, or write *2 after an entry to give it double the chance. The game buttons switch the same list to a duck race, hat, claw machine and more.

      Questions people ask

What are quick team building activities for work?

Two truths and a lie, desk show and tell, find-someone-who bingo and an emoji check-in each take ten minutes or less and work in a meeting room or on a call. Press Quick icebreakers for the full set.

Which team building activities work for a small group of adults?

Problem-solving challenges shine with four to eight people: the spaghetti and marshmallow tower, desert island ranking, the helium stick and a DIY escape puzzle. Everyone has to speak up for the group to succeed.

How does the spaghetti and marshmallow tower work?

Each team gets 20 sticks of dry spaghetti, a yard (about a metre) of tape, the same length of string and one marshmallow. They have 18 minutes to build the tallest tower that holds the marshmallow on top.

How do I run team building with a remote team?

Keep it short and visual. Choose an activity from Online teams, give everyone a minute to think before anyone speaks, and rotate who goes first so quieter colleagues are not always last.
