      Ways to use this list

      • Plan a week of dinners in a minute: spin seven times with Remove the winner on, then write the shopping list straight from the seven winners.
      • Late home from work: tap Ready in 30 minutes and the wheel keeps only meals such as fajitas, fried rice, baked salmon or an omelette.
      • End of the month: Budget leaves dinners built on tins, rice, eggs, lentils and potatoes, like dal, veggie chilli and toad in the hole.
      • Kids cook once a week: an older child spins For kids on Sunday, then helps make the winner, from grating the cheese to stirring the sauce.
      • Break the rut: add a slice called Try a new recipe *2; it gets a double-width slice, so a dish you have never cooked turns up every few weeks.

Press Spin the wheel, tap the game or press the Space bar. Change the list in the box as you like: add your own, delete what doesn't suit you, or write *2 after an entry to give it double the chance. The game buttons switch the same list to a duck race, hat, claw machine and more.

      Questions people ask

How do I make a meal plan with the wheel?

Set Winners to 7 in Settings and one spin gives seven different dinners at once. Then open ๐Ÿ•˜ History and press Copy all to paste the plan into a note or a shopping app.

Can I save my family's dinner wheel?

Yes. Swap in the meals your family really eats, press ๐Ÿ’พ Save and call it something like "Our dinners". Next Sunday it is waiting on this device, ready for the weekly plan.

Is there a wheel for eating out?

Try the what should I eat wheel: pizza, sushi, pho, burritos and other takeout favourites. Swap in the restaurants near you for a local version.

Which dinners on the wheel are vegetarian?

Tap Vegetarian for 16 meat-free dinners, from dal and chickpea curry to mushroom risotto and bean burgers. One thing to check: traditional Parmesan is made with animal rennet, so strict vegetarians swap in a vegetarian hard cheese for pesto, risotto and pasta bakes.

What is the difference between shepherd's pie and cottage pie?

The meat. Shepherd's pie is made with minced lamb, as the name hints, while cottage pie uses minced beef. Both are baked under a thick layer of mashed potato, often with grated cheese on top until golden.

What is toad in the hole?

A British classic: sausages baked in Yorkshire pudding batter, which puffs up and turns crisp around them in a very hot oven. It needs only eggs, flour, milk and sausages, and is usually served with onion gravy and green vegetables.
