      Ways to use this list

      • Geography detectives: spin a landmark and players name its country, its continent and the nearest big city.
      • Draw it from memory: everyone sketches the landmark in three minutes, then holds it up next to a photo.
      • Travel guide task for Year 5: students write a short guide to their landmark, with how to get there and the best time to visit.
      • Build challenge: spin a landmark from Built by people and model it in ten minutes from paper, card or building bricks.
      • Fantasy campaigns: press Fantasy landmarks to give your map a place the players will still talk about next week.

Press Spin the wheel, tap the game or press the Space bar. Change the list in the box as you like: add your own, delete what doesn't suit you, or write *2 after an entry to give it double the chance. The game buttons switch the same list to a duck race, hat, claw machine and more.

      Questions people ask

What are the New Seven Wonders of the World?

Seven landmarks chosen in a worldwide public vote announced in 2007: the Great Wall of China, Petra, Christ the Redeemer, Machu Picchu, Chichen Itza, the Colosseum and the Taj Mahal. Press New 7 Wonders to spin just those.

Which of the ancient Seven Wonders is still standing?

Only the Great Pyramid of Giza in Egypt. The other six, such as the Colossus of Rhodes and the Lighthouse of Alexandria, were destroyed long ago, and historians are not even sure the Hanging Gardens of Babylon existed as described.

Why are natural wonders counted as landmarks?

Places like the Grand Canyon, Uluru and the Great Barrier Reef are as famous as any building, so they share the main list. Press Built by people if you only want towers, bridges, castles and monuments.

Which landmark on the list is the tallest?

The Burj Khalifa in Dubai, the tallest building in the world at over 800 metres since it opened in 2010. The Eiffel Tower, by comparison, is about 330 metres including its antennas.
