Ways to use this list
- Character design: spin a hairstyle for each character in a comic so readers can tell them apart, even as black silhouettes.
- Drawing practice: draw the same face five times with five spun hairstyles. Hair changes how a character feels more than almost anything else.
- Before a haircut: spin a few times, save the styles you like and show pictures of them to your hairdresser, who can say what will work with your hair.
- Dress-up and doll play: kids spin a style and recreate it on a doll, with clips, ribbons and hair ties.
- Braiding practice: tap Braids & twists and practise whatever the wheel lands on until the lines come out neat and even.
Press Spin the wheel, tap the game or press the Space bar. Change the list in the box as you
like: add your own, delete what doesn't suit you, or write *2 after an entry to give it double the
chance. The game buttons switch the same list to a duck race, hat, claw machine and more.

Questions people ask
Is there a list of hairstyles for men and women?
Every style here can be worn by anyone. For classic barber cuts like fades, crew cuts and quiffs, tap Short cuts; for long styles, buns and braids, use the other buttons above the picker.
What is the difference between a fade and an undercut?
A fade blends the hair gradually, from very short at the bottom to longer on top. An undercut has a sharp line: the sides and back are cut short in one length with no blending, and the top stays long.
What is a wolf cut?
A wolf cut mixes a shag and a mullet: lots of choppy layers around the crown, a little more length at the back and plenty of texture. It works on straight, wavy and curly hair.
How do I draw hair that looks natural?
Draw the overall shape first, as one mass sitting a little above the skull, then split it into big clumps and add only a few single strands at the end. Curly hair works the same way, with spirals instead of long locks.
