Add pictures of people, pets or things. Each photo takes its file's name (ava.jpg becomes "Ava") and appears in every game. Photos stay on this device and are not in share links.

      Ways to use this list

      • Painting challenge: spin a palette and paint a small landscape with only those five colours plus white. A tight palette makes a picture look planned.
      • Design projects: copy the hex codes from the list into your design or drawing software for a poster, slides or a website mock-up.
      • Bedroom makeover planning: put the lightest colour on the walls, a mid tone on the bedding and the brightest on cushions or a lamp.
      • Knitting and crochet: match yarn shades to a palette before starting a striped scarf or a granny-square blanket.
      • Comics and character design: give each character their own palette so readers recognise them at a glance, even in a crowd scene.

Press Spin the wheel, tap the game or press the Space bar. Change the list in the box as you like: add your own, delete what doesn't suit you, or write *2 after an entry to give it double the chance. The game buttons switch the same list to a duck race, hat, claw machine and more.

      Questions people ask

Do the palettes come with hex codes?

Yes. Every palette below the picker lists five colours with a name and a six-digit hex code, such as #F6C85F for sun gold. Paste the codes straight into most design and drawing programs.

How many colors should a palette have?

Three to five is the sweet spot. A common recipe is the 60-30-10 rule: one main colour for about 60% of the space, a second for 30% and a bright accent for the last 10%.

Can I make a palette from a word or a name?

Type your own words on the wheel, such as places, seasons or moods, and spin one. Then choose a light, a dark and one bright colour that the word brings to mind. Names like "Seaside" make the choice almost automatic.

What makes colors look good together?

Colours that share a temperature, all warm or all cool, usually sit well together, and one strong accent stands out best against calmer shades. A mix of light, mid and dark tones matters even more than the hues.

Can I spin a single color instead of a whole palette?

Yes: the random color wheel picks one colour name at a time, which suits games and quick art challenges. This page is for sets of colours that already work together.
