Ways to use this list
- History warm-up: spin a year and the class describes daily life then, from transport and school to clothes and inventions.
- Music quiz round: spin a year and each team names a style of music that was popular around that time.
- Time-travel writing: send your character to the spun year and describe their first hour there.
- Family history: spin a year and ask the oldest relative what they remember about it, or dig out photos from that decade.
- Story characters: give each one a birth year from the wheel, then work out how old they are today.
Press Pull the lever, tap the game or press the Space bar. Change the list in the box as you
like: add your own, delete what doesn't suit you, or write *2 after an entry to give it double the
chance. The game buttons switch the same list to a wheel, duck race, hat and more.

Questions people ask
Can I choose my own range of years?
Yes. Press a decade button, or clear the list and type the years you want, one per line. The raffle picker can also fill a long range with its Ticket numbers button, for example 1500 to 2000.
Why does the year list open on the slot machine?
There are 127 years from 1900 to 2026, more than the wheel's 100 slices, so the reels take over. Press any decade button and the shorter list fits on the wheel.
Which years are leap years?
A year is a leap year if it divides by 4, except century years, which must divide by 400. So 2000 was a leap year but 1900 was not, and the next one after 2024 is 2028.
Can I pick a random year from the 2000s only?
Press 2000s for 2000 to 2009, or 2000–2026 for every year since the turn of the century. Both fit on the wheel.
